​Our Story

​Philippine CPD Online was born in December, 2018 in a chance conversation during a reunion between friends who have not seen each other for almost 30 years since graduating from the UP College of Medicine way back in 1989. ​

​Amidst conversation about family, career and stories about what happened to various classmates through the years, the topic on renewing professional license came up. One mentioned the difficulty of attending CPD seminars especially if one is living outside the country. They talked about the massive problem of logistics in being able to provide CPD seminars for millions of professionals not only across an Archipelago, but also a huge number of professionals living and working outside.the country. The expense of traveling to a specific place to attend these seminars, the limited seats open, the inflexible schedule and a lot more.

​Amidst all these complaints, an idea was born. Why can't we provide CPD Seminars online? They do that all the time in the US. We can teach medicine online to people preparing for the US Medical Licensing Examination and they come from all over the world. There will be no logistics problem, or limited seating capacity as you would have in a venue based seminar. You can take it anytime, anywhere at your own convenience without worrying about scheduling conflict, loss of work time, packing and traveling or especially in the Philippines, traffic.

​​Philippine CPD Online is owned and operated by CPD Online Pro, a duly registered corporation with the Security and Exchange Corporation. We are a PRC accredited CPD provider with PRC Accreditation Number MED-2019-331 valid until November 2022.

Our Team

We are composed of alumni from the University of the Philippines various colleges.

Mike Nicol Uy, MD graduated from UP College of Medicine in 1989. He belongs to the first batch of INTARMED class ‘89. After graduation he co-founded and ran a chain of clinical laboratories which employed over 100 health care professionals. In 2006 and 2007, He sat for the USMLE and aced Step 1 with a 256 and Step 2 CK with a 258. He also passed Step 3 with a score of 219. He then founded an online review center that helped International Medical Graduates pass and even ace the USMLE Steps. At present he still runs Askdoc-USMLE.com and is founder of Philippine CPD Online.
